How we do it

  1. Work out what is actually worth keeping

    Solid cabinet boxes are worth keeping and refinishing. Particleboard that's swelling is not. We'll be straight about which you have.

  2. Cabinets first

    Painting or refacing happens before backsplash and hardware, so nothing new gets damaged.

  3. Backsplash and hardware

    These two change a kitchen more per pound than anything else in it.

  4. Trim, caulk and adjust

    Doors realigned, drawers running properly, everything caulked and touched up.

Questions worth asking

Is refinishing cabinets worth it?
If the boxes are solid, yes — it's a fraction of replacement and the result is genuinely good. If they're falling apart, it's money after bad.
Can we use the kitchen while you work?
Mostly. Expect some days without doors on the cabinets, and a day or two where the sink area is out of action.
Do you do worktops?
We handle some worktop swaps. Stone templating and fabrication we bring a specialist in for.
